Following Nimmo
‘Following Nimmo’ was a street theatre performance that raised funds for Galway’s Claddagh Watch Patrol. The performance was a part of Galway’s Culture Night and Hysteria’s Hidden Gems Festival 2025. Audiences of all ages were invited to feed the seal, pet his whiskers and spray him with water to keep him from getting too dry out of sea. The puppet was co-designed, made and puppeteered by myself and Harrison. Nimmo was constructed out of recycled waterproof materials and found objects, making a statement around climate action. In this joyous and interactive performance, we were able to spread awareness around suicide prevention and wildlife preservation.
‘You Got Older’ written by Clare Barron was produced as a part of The Lir Academy’s Grad Fest 2026. I directed the production and incorporated the use of a deer puppet. I directed the puppetry by combining puppeteering principles and Laban Movement Techniques to create a unique puppetry and movement performance.
